The Vaisala SPECTRACAP® Oxygen Transmitter OMT355 is ideal for oxygen monitoring in moist and aggressive process gases. Typical applications include gas generation, inert gas blanketing, fermentation and composting process monitoring.
The OMT355 is a high-grade industrial oxygen transmitter for % level oxygen measurements in industrial gases and processes. It can also be used for ambient oxygen measurements in demanding applications.
The OMT355 is available in three basic versions:
in-line version that can be flange-mounted directly in a gas stream through the wall of a duct, a reactor vessel or a container
sample cell version that can be used for pump aspirated sampling using a sampling system, in applications where in-line mounting is not possible
ambient environment version for measuring the ambient oxygen concentration
The OMT355 can be used for oxygen measurements in practically any application where the oxygen concentration in the gas exceeds 0.3 - 0.5 % O2. The customer benefits provided by the OMT355 are, however, most striking when the in-line version can be used and the probe installed directly in the measured gas. Examples of this kind of applications are fermentation and other bioprocesses, composting, inert gas blanketing, and inert gas generators.
In the sampling configuration, the OMT355 can be used in a large number of applications such as air sepration plants and gas generators, biogas and landfill gas (in safe area installations), and even combustion/stack gas measurements provided that the sampling system is properly designed.
In many applications, the OMT355 can be flange-mounted directly into a process. No sampling or sample conditioning equipment is needed. This feature provides real time measurement data without sampling or sample switching delays.
